On October 6, 2023, Marin resident Ron Rosano flew into space on Virgin Galactic's Galactic04 mission, fulfilling a childhood dream and gaining a unique perspective of our planet suspended in the black vastness of space. Join Ron for video and photo highlights from the space flight, with descriptions of what it's like to have a rocket fire you through the sky, to float weightless in a spaceship, and to see our Earth from high above the thin blue line of our atmosphere. There will be plenty of time for Q&A.

Warren J. Wells will present on the past and future efforts to rehabilitate Marin’s 19th century rail infrastructure, particularly the Cal Park Hill and Alto Tunnels, for bicycle and pedestrian use. Warren will detail the challenges and opportunities of these projects, as well as the costs and benefits that improved transportation access can bring about for all Marin residents.

In this festive event we will install the Club's President for 2024/2025: Ed Marshall, returning for another stint as our chief executive.

In accordance with previous Installation dinners, let's give Kim Jessup a proper sendoff. 

The 5150 District Givernor wil address the club on the current state of the District and other relevant topics. 

From Jeeps that flew to tanks that shouldn't; from a wave-powered boat that took forever to reach its destination to a jet-powered train that nearly shook itself apart, an entertaining look at WETech inventions which showcase an inventor's talent for building something nobody asked for. This talk will be lavishly illustrated with rare photographs and brief film clips demonstrating that failure is not just entertaining, but has something important to teach us.

Sarah will share photos from her adventures in wild places and stories from the field.  With an emphasis on native predators, Sarah’s photography highlights unique behavior and intimate portraits of species like wolves, bears, coyotes, bobcats, foxes and badgers.  Increasingly, as human development expands and traditional habitats shrink, many of these species are living in closer proximity to humans.  Sarah has spent years observing and documenting native predators in both suburban and wild environments and will share tales from the field as well as insights into how wildlife adapts to living in our midst.
