History and the construction of the Sydney Opera House
Feb. 20, 2019
District Governor 2003-04 Fred came to the United States in 1968 for 12 months to work for a South San Francisco based company that were manufacturing windows under license to my Australian employer. I think I can safely say I made the first plastic windows in the United States. The twelve months extended to the rest of my life. I started my company Marble West in 1975 and we specialize in restoration and maintenance of marble, natural stone, metal and wood. My three son now own the business and I “work” for them. I joined Belmont Rotary in 1975, was President in 1978, served on various Districts Committees and was District Governor in 2003-04. I am a licensed pilot and used to fly my own airplane until the IRS took the fun out of it.

Human Trafficking
Apr. 03, 2019
Laurel Botsford - Founder & President of Wisdom International – Help2Others
Human Trafficking is the greatest abuse of human beings in every way. That's why I am working to right the wrong of human trafficking through prevention, where my strengths lie, and where research provides the reasons we need to act now. Each year in the United States, at least 100,000 children are exploited in the commercial sex industry. Because sex trafficking is an issue rarely discussed at home, in school, or in church, parents and children are unaware of the dangers that face America’s youth. Shared Hope International is reaching out with the truth — to equip and protect kids from being chosen. https://vimeo.com/63413165 |
