Two Fun Noodle Discussions!!

• Service Project
• Magic of the Coastside

A continuation of discussing and identifying a service project! Below are the ideas that were generated at the last meeting. In this meeting, it would be awesome if we could identify which project we would like to research and hopefully move forward with.

 

• Work with County -or- State Parks to add a few benches in an area to create a nice space on the trail overlooking the ocean.
• Work with City, County & State Parks to add more trash cans to the Coastal Trail. And get them routinly maintained.
• Adopt a part of the Coastal Trail & keep it maintained (like the Hwy program).
• Create a trail from downtown HMB area to the Beach alongside the creek.
• Collect and donate needed items to Cabrillo Unified's Nurse.
• Install Defibrillators in local businesses.
• Have our own Home Repair Program. Compliment what Senior Coastsiders does but more frequently.
• Have our own Home Gardening Program. Compliment what Senior Coastsiders does but more frequently.
• Create a program that supports 4H.
• Monthly Potluck at/for Abundant Grace.
• Sponsor Junior High Kids to go on local College Tours.

Reimagine this event! With so many nonprofits on the Coastside, sitdown dinner galas are everywhere and costly. How can we change up this event to make it fun, unique, and manageable to plan and deploy?! The Service Above Self Awards would be in there somewhere!

• A weekend of events showcasing the magical beauties of the Coastside, like...
  • Foraging hike thru the forest
  • Beach event
  • Sunset Boating event
• A day at the Beach - Morning, Noon & Night...
  • Morning - Sandcastle Contest
  • Noon - Coastal Chili Cookoff
  • Night - Beach Bum BBQ
