Sunflower Wellness was established in October 2004 in direct response to the need for promoting and providing exercise among people living with cancer. Regan said that research shows a 40% reduction in risk of recurrence and death from breast cancer in patients who perform 150 minutes of moderate intensity activity per week.

“We bridge the gap between medical treatment and physical activity by working with oncologists to bring exercise directly to patients,” she said. For more information, visit sunflowerwellness.org.

Member David Chan was presented his Paul Harris +2 pin in recognition and thanks for his continued support of the Rotary Foundation.

We also welcomed and exchanged club banners with two Rotarians visiting from France, Jen Luc and his wife, Geraldine.
