DG went around the room and asked each member to introduce themselves and their role in the club. |

DG suggested we update our website which still says “new” club, calendar is empty, picture file is empty and that we should play up the strengths of our club. |

DG suggested that we have a Facebook page and link it to our website. |

DG advised that we must enter our goals on President’s Citation site. |
|

DG was pleased that we do have a strategic plan. She suggested we include new people and have measureable goals. Reminder of the Scarb. Clubs Collaboration evening, Oct. 4th, where we can bring potential new members. |

DG advised that our Membership Chair should attend the Presidents Meeting. |

DG also advised that we must pay attention to succession planning. |

Jim suggested that we need to find a way to give tax receipts to people who donate to our club because we do not have a charitable organization registration. Dhamay also requested that we find a way to recognize people for donations, e.g. to R. Foundation, so that their names are listed somewhere, e.g. on a website. DG agreed to look into it. |

DG advised that we can get support to increase younger members from Liz Greenland, District Chair for attracting and engaging young professionals. |

DG suggested we watch for her tweets and that we should all check out the new RI website. |

Penny asked about micro-credit and DG advised that there is support at the district level with 2 co-chairs for local projects. DG advised that there is a RAG for micro-credit & we should check it out. |

DG also advised that Dr. Bob Scott (Polio) meets with international leaders to help reduce conflict and allow the polio program to continue in difficult areas. |

DG also advised that there is a Peace Committee at the district level. |
