Since 1967, Dodge Nature Center and Preschool has been connecting children and adults to nature. Their mission is to provide exceptional experiences in nature through environmental education. They have 4 properties in the greater twin cities.
West St. Paul, MN
The Main Property is a lively destination buzzing with nature programs, field trips, and an onsite nature preschool. Miles of hiking trails abundant with local wildlife meander through prairies, woodlands, and wetlands. Features of this property include a working farm with farm animals, raptor mews, and bee apiary.

Quiet and remote, the Marie Property is a peaceful destination to hike and renew in nature. This is one of Dodge’s best destinations to see native woodland flowers, like marsh marigolds.
Mendota Heights, MN
As the Lilly Property undergoes habitat restoration, you may witness invasive species removal, prairie burns, and native plantings. Dodge Nature Center’s commitment to stewardship and restoration of native habitats, like the prairie, support future generations of important insects and plants.
Cottage Grove, MN
Shepard Farm offers a setting unique from other Dodge properties, with 100-year-old woods, 1920s-era historic buildings and barns, restored prairie, large community gardens, a bee apiary, and animal pastures. After acquiring it from the Wilder Foundation in 2013, Dodge has thoughtfully developed it to serve as a destination for agricultural and environmental education in Washington County.

We meet at 7:30 Wednesday mornings at Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church located at 2035 Charlton Road, Sunfish Lake, MN 55118. Join us for a continental breakfast with good coffee followed by an engaging program. On even number months, we meet at 7:30a at the Copperfield restaurant in Mendota Heights.
