Our speaker last week was Ben Griffin from The Linc, an organization that helps budding-new-leaders become leaders in their chosen areas, whether it be in their home communities helping teenage boys get out of gangs or for a cause like opening a home for girls who were involved in sex trafficking. We all learned the word "Parakaleo," which means "To Come Alongside." What a powerful word! Don't walk in front, don't push from behind but instead WALK ALONGSIDE. If we could all do that in our daily lives, it would make this world so much better! |
