Last Week's Speaker
Our speaker last week was Nancy Fushan.  She gave a wonderful presentation about an organization called "Giving Voice".  Giving Voice provides creative choral opportunities to a population that is grappling with decreased social connection and dealing with the uncertainties of having dementia and caring for those with dementia. Giving Voice gives people at home with dementia the ability to connect with a choir & singing professionals.  They are building choirs at MacPhail, MN JCC, & Colonial Church in Edina.  The choirs create a vibrant creative community.  This organization is also connecting with other like choirs across the world.  The singing reignites speech, language and improves social and emotional connections for those who participate.   If you know of someone who would benefit from this group, please contact Nancy at Nhfushan@comcast.net.  Thanks for the great presentation, Nancy!

Regarding the contributions to the Rotary Disaster Fund through Rotary International:   we raised more than $15 million and together have funded more than 90 disaster response grants so far to help the people of Ukraine. Your contributions to our Disaster Response Fund between 3 March and 30 April will continue to make possible the member-led projects that help Ukrainian refugees and support relief efforts within the country.
