Club exploring support of women's health project in Haiti
The Board last week voted to explore an international project idea brought forth by Bridget. Heartline Ministries, a women's healthcare program in Haiti, offers prenatal counseling, classes, delivery and post-partum type services. The organization generally has 45 women in the program at any given time. Heartline Ministries needs 1) a new ultrasound machine; 2) to expand their program and services with more staff to offer services to more women; and 3) to build onto their facility. Bridget asked Heartline Ministries to prepare costs associated with each need so that we can determine how to best leverage District or Global grant dollars. She will work with Bob once she receives the priorities and costs from Heartline Ministries and bring a proposal back to the Board.
