Christina Wattermann came and talked to us about the Twin Cities Habitat For Humanity. Since 1985, Twin Cities Habitat has partnered with 2,100 families to unlock the power of homeownership. Thousands more have stabilized and improved their housing, finances, and quality of life through their programs. Their mission is to create, preserve and promote home ownership. Their territory includes the 7 county metro area. Over 50% of the builds are in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Each build has a professional on site. Currently they are building 147 affordable homes for first-time homebuyers in Saint Paul’s Greater East Side. For more information, visit www.tchabitat.org. Rotary has a triple AAA rating for where the money goes. Everyone is volunteer and no ad spend so parades, community events and fundraising events is how we get the word out!
We as Rotarians are proud of the fact that 94% of all moneys raised goes to the causes!

We meet at 7:30 Wednesday mornings at Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church located at 2035 Charlton Road, Sunfish Lake, MN 55118. Join us for a continental breakfast with good coffee followed by an engaging program. On even number months, we meet at 7:30a at the Copperfield restaurant in Mendota Heights.
