Another WOW talk at our January, 24th meeting!  Jason Davis is the Social Services Supervisor for Emergency Shelter in Dakota County.  The main goal of Jason's group is to help homeless people recover financially and get into affordable housing.  Currently there is room for 60 people which are in several local hotels.   Jason is a super resource for those in need in our community.  Thanks for presenting to us Jason!  Pictured below with Jason (left) is Rotarian Jeff Holland.

Friendly reminder, we have a double hitter of Loaves and Fishes at St. Matt's from 3:30 to 6:30 on Tuesday, January 30th and Thursday, February 1st.  Please come when you can!

Co Prez David Miller and Prez Elect Val Namen are heading up our club's Fundraising Committee.  Please let them know if you have any fundraising ideas and/or would like to join their committee!

The board is looking for someone to coordinate a Fall Rose Sale.  We have the contacts and information.  Please contact David Miller, Don McCall or Dave Hanson if you're interested in coordinating the sale.  Thanks!

Here's some highlights from our January Board meeting:

1 - Treasurer's report:  $5100 cash to spend;  May 22nd $2000 scholarship to Two Rivers High School.

2 - WSP/MH Rotary Foundation is a separate tax deductible entity of our club.  Current balance is $3800.  Board members: Don McCall, Bob Gullick, Terry Davern and Ginger Overbye.  Foundation gives monies to our club and other organizations. 

3 - Community service at Loaves & Fishes on Jan 30 and Feb 1.

4 - Holiday party at David & Vickie Millers on Jan 18, 5:00.

5 - We are sticking with our current Facebook page working on getting administration permission to Jennifer Gio.

6 - Fundraising - Prior Lake Music Fest on July 12 & 13.  (Mark your calendars);  looking for a point person to coordinate fall Rose sale; David Miller & Val Namen will head fund raising committee.

7 - Val will attend President Elect meetings this month.

8 - Next board meeting is February 20th via zoom.  Notify Dave Hanson if you'd like to attend.

The board would like to have local businesses present a 3 minute introduction to their company at each meeting.

Please let Dave Hanson know if you have someone and he'll add them to the meeting schedule.

One 3 minute presentation at each meeting would be the goal.
