Here are some things that you need to know about some upcoming service events:
Great Halloween Get Together is Friday, Oct. 31 from 5:00-7:00. South St. Paul closes off a few blocks of Marie Avenue just for trick or treating. We hand out candy at a table to help promote our Club. Please bring bags of candy to the meetings so we can stock up for the 2,500 trick or treaters we expect to greet on Halloween. A sign up sheet will be circulated this week if you want to help during the event too. Costumes are optional but welcome.
The Club again will host an all-day ethics seminar on Wednesday, October 29 at Thompson Park. The program, for 60 formal and informal student leaders from Henry Sibley High School, is a partnership between the Club, the school, local businesses, and St. Thomas.
Please download the Ethics Table Sponsors Letter and invite area businesses to help make this event a success. More details are in the letter, which is available on the club homepage. It is only $100 to sponsor a table and if we get 10 table sponsors, it will pay our costs of the event. We would like to thank the sponsors who have stepped up so far:
Twin Cities Window Treatments (Patt Erickson)
Lethert Swira CPA (Mike Lethert)
Davern Real Estate (Terry Davern)
In addition, we need Rotarians to help with Ethics Day, whether it is sitting with a table of kids or monitoring the table of snacks, we need to make sure the day runs smoothly. Please contact Bud if you can help that day. bshaver@wspmn.gov. Keep in mind that we WILL have a regular Rotary meeting that same day with a speaker so for those of you who are not helping with Ethics Day, please plan to attend our breakfast meeting at Southview.
