Rose sale kicked off last week.  Please try and sell 20 dozen or donate to our club's foundation.  Lollipop or red rose price is $25.00 with a vase.  Orders must be placed by Tuesday, September 10th.  Forms will be available at future meetings.  Send completed forms to Tom Atmore at tatmore@comcast.net.  Thanks for coordinating this Tom! 

Our annual beer and wine raffle kicked off last week.  Get your $10.00 tickets to sell from Bob Gullick.  Raffle drawing will be November 13 at the Copperfield.  Grand prize for wine is 25 bottles and second is 5 bottles.  Grand prize for beer is a wall of beer (approx 25 six packs) and second is 5 six packs.  Please bring some beer and wine to the meetings before November 13th.  Thanks for coordinating this Bob!

Last week's speaker was personal trainer, Doug Staley.  He gave us a very interesting presentation on the benefits of strength training and his company Competitive Wellness. His gym is located at 1565 Como Ave in St. Paul.  His services include 1 on 1 or semi private Personal Training;  Remote Coaching; Small group, same goal.  For more information on the benefits of strength training, check out www.competitivewellnessllc.com.  This really works, just ask Rotarian Bob Gullick!  Pictured below with Doug (right) is Bob Gullick.  (Editor's note:  sorry for the shaky picture.  For a better picture of Doug, check out his website!)

Rotarians Colleen Watson and Alan Ruvelson were awarded Polio Plus pins for their contributions to Rotary International.  Thanks Colleen and Alan!  Pinning then is President Val Namen.

Our club's logo was developed via a link to Rotary International.  Thanks to Rotarian Susan Hommes for providing the link.  Our logo will be permanently on display at the All Inclusive Playground at Somerset Elementary School in Mendota Heights.  The logo will also be recognized at the playground opening on August 28, 2024.  Yeah us!

1 - Our club is finishing our year at the end on June 30 with $600 in the bank!  Thanks Bob Gullick!

2 - We have these amounts in reserves: 

    a. $500 for the Forest Lake Club's International water project.

    b. $2250 reserved for the next international conference.

3 - Approved club sponsor for Ethic's Day.  Contacting Katie Lowe to see if she will lead.

4 - Next Loaves & Fishes is July 30th & Aug 1st. 

5 - Prior Lake Music Fest fundraiser on July 12th and 13th was a fun event and easy to do.  Encouraging more participation next year.

6 - Tabling money requests until we get a better handle on our fundraising efforts.

7 - Looking a participating in a Food Truck event on July 27 at WSP Sports Complex. 

8 - November 13th is raffle drawing at Copperfield.

9 - Rayna Bullock has joined the board.

10 - Next board meeting is via zoom on August 20th at 7:30a.m. Notify Dave Hanson if you'd like to attend.

The board would like to have local businesses present a 3 minute introduction to their company at each meeting.

Please let Dave Hanson know if you have someone and he'll add them to the meeting schedule.

One 3 minute presentation at each meeting would be the goal.
