Mike Lavin and Eric of DARTS stopped by on Wednesday. Mike has been the President since June of 2025. Mike worked at the YMCA before coming to DARTS.
DARTS is a nonprofit organization based in West St. Paul, Minnesota, dedicated to creating connections that enrich aging. Since 1974, DARTS has supported older adults and caregivers across Dakota and Washington counties with services that promote independence, dignity, and community engagement.
DARTS provides affordable transportation to medical appointments, grocery stores, and social activities, including individual rides and local LOOP bus routes. The organization also offers in-home services such as light housekeeping, minor home repairs, and outdoor chores to help older adults safely remain in their homes.
In addition, DARTS supports caregivers through respite services, workshops, and support groups, and hosts healthy aging programs that reduce isolation and build community. Programs include social groups for Spanish-speaking seniors and LGBTQ+ older adults, tech assistance for learning digital tools, and memory-support activities.
With the help of dedicated volunteers and community donors, DARTS continues to strengthen connections and enhance quality of life for aging adults in the southeast Twin Cities metro.

We meet at 7:30 Wednesday mornings at Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church located at 2035 Charlton Road, Sunfish Lake, MN 55118. Join us for a continental breakfast with good coffee followed by an engaging program. On even number months, we meet at 7:30a at the Copperfield restaurant in Mendota Heights. (e.g. first Wed in Aug)
