We're going to do this week's Headlines in a BLAST of information right here! Here we go!
LOAVES & FISHES - We are serving at Loaves & Fishes this week - ON TUESDAY (hey that's tomorrow) Be there at 3:00 to help cook and 4:30 to help serve. Super Dave H. is in charge so let him know if you can help!
LIVE MEETINGS - Starting in August, we will meet live and in person ALL THE TIME! We are going to back to in-person meetings at Southview starting August 1. Zoom will be used when possible and can be used to bring in speakers when they are far away
SPEAKER ASSIGNMENTS - Speaker Assignment list 2021-22 is available for the new Rotary Year. Click on this link ---> (Speaker Assignment List) We are filled with speakers for July, but Aug., Sept., people should start lining up speakers now. Here's what you need to do:
Work with the others on your team for the month so you don't double-book the dates. (Please note that Sept. 29 we CANNOT be at Southview due to a big event, so we will have to work around that - perhaps a field trip?)
Let me know (bulletin editor-person) when you have a speaker and the topic so I can put it on the website
Keep in touch with your speaker so they know where to go, what time to show up, how long to speak, etc.
AUGUST 11 FIELD TRIP - And speaking of speakers... on August 11, we are going to take a tour of Two Rivers High School to see what the fuss is all about. Peter has been whining about the remodeling and construction for so long! Let's go and see the end result!
MOONSTRUCK - Moonstruck! 2021 is starting to take shape. You have the entry form and donation request form letter right here on the side of the page. So far, we have a couple of teams and a Silver Sponsor!! Go out and start getting dinner guests, silent auction stuff, teams, sponsors! Contact Chair William at william@harvestpack.org if you have any questions.
NEW ROTARY YEAR - This week is President William's last week as President. Then he hands the reigns, gavel, torch, scepter and crown to President-Elect David Miller! A new era will begin. (ahhhhhh. I am reminiscent of the day when Colleen passed the gavel to President-Elect Tom Atmore and those famous words he spoke at his inaugural meeting: "The days of the touchy-feely are over. Get used to it.") Ha! We shall see what kind of flavor President David brings to the podium.
