Ethics Day is TOMORROW,Tuesday, Nov. 3 at Thompson Park in WSP. Click here for details. The event is a day-long interactive training for 60 specially selected Henry Sibley High School juniors and seniors who are viewed by school administration and teachers as being leaders in the school. What do we do? We run the show! We do the training, we facilitate the discussion at each table and we provide the food. Sponsorships help pay for the event so that we do not have to tap into our own account. Our table sponsors are:
Don McCall, CPA
Edward Jones, John Murphy
Mike Lethert/Terry Davern
Mike Lethert, CPA
Realty Executive Results, Marv Karth
St. Paul Voice, Tim Spitzack
The YMCA of WSP, Katie Lowe
Fast Signs of IGH, Bernadette MacKenzie
If you would STILL like to sponsor a table or know someone else who does, see Bud. Thanks to everyone who has devoted their time and effort to ensure this is a successful event.
ON WED - Oct. 28 - New Member Orientation from 4:30 - 7:00ish. If you have not been oriented into our Club or need to be re-oriented, or are wondering if you'll ever be shown the secret handshake, we offer appetizers, intriguing conversation and a great opportunity to get to know each other at Connie Roehrich's home. We disguise it as a Rotary 101 class, but it's really just a time for us to talk in more than 15-minute increments. It is for new and old members alike - in fact, the whole Club is welcome to attend! Come and drop in for a little bit or stay for the whole time. Click here for details and directions to Connie's house.
ON SAT. - Oct. 31 from noon - 1 - Ghost Tour at the MIA. Colleen Watson (Dr. Watson) is offering a free guided tour of all the ghost hangouts at the MIA. Click here for more information. Be there by 11:45.
ALSO ON SAT - Oct. 31 from 5-7 p.m. - The Great Halloween Get Together. We hand out candy to 1,000 trick-or-treaters on Marie Avenue between 5th and 7th in SSP. I usually try to get the spot right by the free hotdogs at the corner of 7th/Marie. Please bring a bag of candy to our regular meeting so that we don't run out before every cute little costumed monster gets his/her treat.
Thanks to those who helped with the Adopt A Highway last weekend!
