Heartline Maternity Center Project - Port au Prince, Haiti
We were awarded a $9,000 District Grant from our Rotary District 5960 for our Heartline Maternity Center Renovation Project in Haiti.  With the District Grant, our Rotary Club's committed funds, as well as contributions from the Rotary Clubs in Lakeville, SSP/IGH, Roseville, Prior Lake, Northfield, Woodbury, Arden Hills/Shoreview, River Falls, WI and Shrewsbury, MA, we have funded a $29,000 project. Our contributions purchased certain mechanical items that will allow the Maternity Center to expand and complete a major renovation of its facility so that it can serve a larger population with better equipment.  Construction is now underway...

WSP State of the City Address
Plan to attend the annual West St. Paul State of the City Address presented by Mayor Dave Meisinger at our regular meeting this week.  Members from WSP City Staff and the Dakota County Regional Chamber will join us for this annual event.  It will also be broadcast on the local cable channel so in order to meet the broadcast schedule, the speech will start promptly at 8:00 a.m. (If you need to leave at 8:30, please sit near the door because sometimes the speech runs long)
Rotary Roses: Continue taking Orders!
Continue taking your Rotary Rose orders! Remember that our delivery date is on April 20.  The price is still $15/dozen in the choices of Lollipop (assortment of pastels) or traditional red.  The order form is available on the home page.  So, begin taking orders and remember that we will skip our regular meeting on April 20 so that you can deliver your rose. You can pick up your roses at Arctic Glacier Ice in West St. Paul on Tuesday afternoon (Ap. 19) or on Wed. morning (Ap. 20).  Click the Events calendar for the details.
Charter Night
Our Charter Night Event is set!  This is a fun social event for the whole Club, to celebrate our "birthday" (we are 26 years old!).  Everyone is invited to attend and bring spouses, families and friends so that we can all get to know each other better.  We are going to see Air Play at the Ordway on Sunday, June 5 at 1:30.  Tickets are only $5, thanks to Mary's family connection to the stars of the show.  In addition, before the show, we will gather for brunch at The Liffey in St. Paul at 11:30. As a bonus, we will have the opportunity for a "meet and greet" with the actors after the show!  This will be a great, fun, and very entertaining day - please see Rayna for details, tickets or if you have any questions.  Details can be found in the Events Calendar.
