Last week's speaker was Margaret Stone, Director of the Dakota County Library System.  Wow!  We didn't know so many services are available at our local libraries:  free computer use; conference rooms; no charge for overdue books;  teleconferencing; support small business with experts, classes, graphic artists; and musicians.  The largest libraries in Dakota County are Apple Valley, Eagan, and Burnsville.  Libby is the online system for electronic book reading.  Libby lets you download your book to tablets or computers.  The Wentworth library will close April 7 for a year of renovations.  More conference rooms and a quiet room as well as self service checkout.  Margaret said books help people find success and when kids read more, they are more successful.  The library system last year had 1.9M visits with over 5.8M checkouts!  Thanks for a super presentation Margaret!  Pictured with Margaret is Rotarian Tim Spitzack!
