Thanks for the Facebook post Rotarian Jon: Beth Baumann stopped by to talk about Town Square television. She is the current Executive Director. Town Square Televisions mission is "Telling our Communities Stories". She is a lifelong resident and former Mayor of South St. Paul, and served as the past chair of the Neighbors, Inc. Board of Directors. Baumann has a master’s degree in organizational leadership and deep expertise in corporate financial services. She is widely known for developing successful teams and directing the completion of complex projects. Some of the biggest events Town Square is Election programing with giving everyone a fair chance to speak. Some of the other big programs are Game of the week , Graduations, and hosting community event like Cops and Bobbers. Unfortunately some of the biggest obstacles for community television is the decline in cable viewership. The majority of funding comes from cable and the viewership is down 25%. We meet at 7:30 Wednesday mornings at Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church located at 2035 Charlton Road, Sunfish Lake, MN 55118. Join us for a continental breakfast with good coffee followed by an engaging program. On even number months, we meet at 7:30a at the Copperfield restaurant in Mendota Heights.
