Our club packed 100 meals with our MATTERBox effort last week.  David Miller delivered 50 meals to The Link, a youth drop-in center located in the Grace Lutheran Church in Apple Valley. They were very appreciative of the donation.  This was truly a feel good effort.  Enjoy the pics:

Here are some highlights from the meeting: 

1 - Community Service (Mark Landy) said a highway clean up will be in October.  Next L & F is August 30th.  Currently serving over 200 people!

2 - Membership (Alan Ruvelson & Val Namen) - investigating getting new members via other organizations like the South Robert Business Association.

3 - Susan Hommes mentioned we got $720 for those working the Prior Lake Music Fest.  David Miller will pick up our check from the Prior Lake Rotary.  Susan mentioned we should try and get more people to participate next year.  It's a fun project.  Our funds will be going to Polio Plus.

4 - Ethic's Day will be held every other year.  We did it last year, so we're off this year.

5 - We're going to do two MATTERBoxes on the September 7th meeting.

6 - Bob Gullick reported we are financially in good shape.  He is also going to print tickets for a wine and beer raffle.  We will announce the winners at the November 9th meeting at the Copperfield restaurant. 

7 - We are always looking for fundraising ideas like "Ask people who previously participated in Moonstruck to consider a donation to the club going to a community effort with a sponsorship"
