Great Halloween Get Together
TONIGHT  is the Great Halloween Get Together!  Show up just before 5 p.m. at the corner of Marie Ave. and 7th Ave. in our neighboring community of South St. Paul - and you'll find the Rotary banner with a little table next to it just waiting for YOU to hand out candy to 1,000 trick-or-treaters!  We open at 5 and close up at 7 - so it's quick, it's fun and even though the Land family has participated in the festivities in the past, costumes for Rotarians are optional.

Japanese Rotary Exchange Student
At last week's meeting, we were blessed with a speaker who is a Rotary Exchange Student from Japan (so sorry Johanna had to miss it!!).  It was fabulous to meet Roriko Nagaisha and even though she has only been here a couple of months, it warmed my heart that her favorite food is cheese curds.  She is an accomplished violinist and treated us to a musical piece from her repertoire.  Here are some photos from the event:
November is Foundation Month
November is Rotary Foundation Month.  What does that mean, you ask?  Well it is the month that Rotary has designated for all clubs to educate its members about the Rotary Foundation, how it works, what it does, how donating to the Foundation benefits everyone - the donor, the investment and the recipient of the funds!  The Rotary Foundation is one of the best run non-profits in the world!  Susan Hommes, our Foundation Chair, will give a brief commercial about the Foundation at an upcoming meeting. In the meantime, review the newsletter and pledge form by clicking on those words.
