We will be meeting in a different room this week for our regular Club meeting, so watch for familiar faces before entering!  Otherwise you might end up accidentally attending a day-long conference on nuclear waste!
We have a Board meeting this Wednesday after our regular Rotary meeting. You are all invited to stay and listen to the tantalizing, enticing and exciting discussion. Here's what's on the agenda:
  • Receiving an update on the application of a 501(c)(3) non-profit status for our Foundation.
  • Considering if we should continue to serve Root Beer Floats at the WSP Days Open House (this year's event is Wed., May 13 from 5-7 p.m.)
  • Hearing proposed Charter Night plans
  • Considering membership committee additions
  • Voting on President Scott's new Board for 2015-16
  • Donation request of $1,000 for Fishing for Fun (last week's speaker)
On Wed., March 11, we hosted the State of the City Address in conjunction with our friends at the Northern Dakota County Regional Chamber.  Newly elected West St. Paul Mayor David Meisinger provided his thoughts on the current state of the City. It was well attended!

Colleen, our resident docent, will be conducting special tours at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts on Thursday, March 19 at 12:30 and Sunday, March 29 at 1:00 p.m.  There are only 15 openings for each tour and the cost is $16.00 per person.  Contact Colleen directly here if you are interested.  Spots will fill up fast so contact her right away.
You should be in the middle of compiling your orders for Rotary Roses.  Your rose packet of information can be found here.  In a nutshell, these are the facts:
  1. Sell at least 22 dozen roses
  2. Sale price is $15/dozen ($2 extra for a vase)
  3. Turn in your order form to Scott by April 17
  4. Pick up your roses at Arctic Glacier Ice on Wed. April 22 and deliver them to your customers (no meeting that day)
  5. If you don't sell 22 dozen and don't have a partner, you will be expected to pay the deficiency of the Club's profit on 22 dozen.
  6. Questions? Contact Scott.
