District Mid-Term Rally
The District 5960 Mid-Term Rally is THIS Sat. Jan. 13 from 8-2:30 at Hamline University.  Volunteers from the Board are requested to raise their hand and attend.  You will hear about Membership growth and engagement, gain valuable public image ideas, learn about other Clubs' service projects to help Make a Difference, AND you get a free lunch - oh the benefits are too many to mention! Contact Pres. Dave if you want to attend (insert raised hand here) and he will make sure you get signed up!
Board Meeting Location Change
Remember that we will still hold our Board meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of the month (starting next week, Jan. 16), but please note that they will be relocated to Perkins on Robert Street in WSP for the months of Jan, Feb and March due to Southview's limited winter schedule.  Perkins, Perkins, Perkins. (just trying to drill it into your brain) Meting time is still 7:30-8:30 a.m.  If you have any agenda items for the Board, pass them along to President Dave.
Loaves & Fishes
MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW!! We have two upcoming Loaves & Fishes events in the same week - Tuesday, Jan. 27 AND Thursday Feb. 1!! How great is that?!?  Pick one or pick both but we will need helpers (cookers, servers, sweepers, cleaners, picker-uppers)  PLEASE HELP!
Speakers Assignments 101
We have really cool speakers every week.  Did you think they just magically appeared?  As a matter of fact, they appear because we have good thoughtful Rotarian members who find these fabulous interesting speakers!  How do you know when it's your month? Look at the Speaker Assignment link on the left side of the newsletter or click HERE and find out when you are assigned to get speakers. Be sure to work with the other people in your month and divvy up the Wednesdays so you don't double-book (that's just plain embarrassing). Then, you look for cool speakers. If you have no ideas whatsoever, I even have a Potential Speaker List link on the left side of the page (or HERE) to help you.  When you find a cool speaker, book 'em!  After they are secured, let me know (newsletter person) who they are, what their topic is, etc. and whether or not they have any technology needs for their presentation.  Be sure to follow up with them prior to their Wed. so they know where to go, what time, and just to be double-extra-super-positive-sure they will be showing up. That's it! All there is to it! Super easy! So, here's a gentle nudge to find your speakers early - Feb.. March, April... start now!
