Rotarian Jennifer gave us a super vocational last week.  She has a daughter and a son and likes outdoor activities.  Jennifer grew up in Stillwater, however, she was born and raised in West St. Paul until first grade.  Her first school was St. Matt's (where we do Loaves & Fishes).  Gio now lives in WSP and manages a group of real estate people all over the country.  Craig Leiser got her into the Forest Lake Morning Rotary Club.  She really likes the guest speakers we have at Rotary.  Jennifer has joined our club's board and is focusing on our Public Image.  One of her goals is to become a Paul Harris Fellow.  She also wants to (in her words) "make a little bit of a difference".  Fits in nicely with our club's vision of "Having fun while making a difference".  She also said "I feel pretty honored to be around a group of people who give back so much.  It's inspiring".  You're very inspiring as well HP.  Thanks for your enthusiastic presentation.  Pictured below is Rotarian Jennifer:

The board met on October 17th and here's some of the highlights:

1 - Discussed several funding requests:  Town Square TV, YMCA, and Somerset School inclusive playground.  Approved $500 for Two Rivers Student Council Harvest Pack event.

2 - Loaves and Fishes is October 31st and December 7th.

3 - Alan Ruvelson & Jennifer Giovinazzo will develop a membership recruitment and retention plan.

4 - David Miller and wife Vickie will host a club social on December 14th.  Bring a friend.

5 - We are going to request 4 or 5 families this year for Neighbor's Inc. Holiday Gift Program.  Gift wrapping at December 6th meeting.

6 - Because of Thanksgiving, November 22nd meeting has been moved to the Copperfield.

The board would like to have a local businesses present a 3 minute introduction to their company at each meeting.

Please let Dave Hanson know if you get someone and he'll add to the schedule.

One 3 minute presentation at each meeting would be the goal.
