Board meeting THIS WEEK
We have a Board meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, January 19 at 7:30 a.m. at Southview. Let President Scott know if you have any items for the agenda. Anyone is welcome to attend and see what the Board does at these secret meetings. (learn the secret handshake, sing the secret song, meet our secret friends, pay for your own secret breakfast...)

BRING IN YOUR EYEGLASSES THIS WEEK
We are collecting eyeglasses for VOSH THIS WEEK!!  This volunteer organization who provides free vision services to people in Mexico, Nepal and Paraguay is speaking at our Club on Wednesday and we can give them the donations at the meeting. So far, I have 4 pair.  HELP!!!

Neighbor's Inc. Inventory on Sat.
This Sat., Jan. 23 is our annual Inventory day at Neighbor's Inc. in SSP.  We count boxes of food, cans of food, bags of food, whatever they ask us to count.  We need as many fingers and toes as you can find.  Please feel free to bring a spouse, bring a child, bring a friend! If you want to meet for coffee at Black Sheep Coffee at 705 Southview Blvd in SSP before the counting begins, that would be fun too! Check out the Events calendar.

Raise Your Hand
If you're feeling the itch to become a more active member of the Club, taking the lead on a fundraising event, organizing a dinner, celebration or committee, then we have many opportunities for you!
  1. Rotary Board: Soon-to-be-President Johanna will be selecting her Board members in the very near future.  The new Rotary year starts July 1.  If you are interested in serving, contact Johanna!
  2. Moonstruck Chair:  Our biggest fundraiser of the year needs a leader.  The bonus is that as Chair, you may designate half of the proceeds to the charity of your choice!  Interested parties should submit a letter to President Scott indicating their interest and naming their charity. The Board will vote on the winning submission.
  3. Rotary Rose Chair:  If you would like to chair this super-easy and quick fundraiser, contact President Scott. Orders are taken in March and deliveries are made in April so this is coming up soon.
