The Final Count Down has begun! We only have 11 days left until Moonstruck! It is time for the final push to get sponsors, silent auction items, sell your raffle tickets, bring in your beer and bring in your wine. Here are some updates:
We need sponsors! It is only $200 to be a hole sponsor so ask your local businesses if they would be willing to use some of their advertising dollars toward a hole sponsorship. We even make a hole sign with their name on it!
We need beer! Let's make that barricade of beer awesomely tall! Bring in your craft beer or throw a few bucks at Bob and he'll do your shopping for you.
Sell your wine raffle tickets! Only $10 for a chance to win 30 bottles of wine? And we only sell 500 tickets? That ticket practically sells itself!
We need more silent auction items. Here are some new items this week:
$35 gift card from Lucky 13's
$25 gift card from BlueStone Steak & Seafood
$30 gift card from B-52's
Autographed hockey stick from Phil Housley
2 - $50 gift baskets from Klein Foods
$25 gift card from Axel's
One Ten Cycles gift package
U of M Gopher golf club cover
Gift cards from Dunn Bros.
2 rounds of golf at Roseville Cedarholm Golf Course
Wine rack
2 - $20 gift cards from Haiku Restaurant
Berry Coffee Company gift basket - 2 coffee mugs and 2 packages of Caribou Coffee
AND TheSalmon Fishing Trip of a Lifetime on Lake Michigan!
Includes 10 hours of fishing on a charter boat for two people
One overnight stay in a hotel next to the marina
Meals included
All fishing gear/bait included
Daily limit of salmon is 5 per person and there will be 4 people on the boat! You can keep all the salmon!
The auction looks great but we could always use more gift baskets, gift cards, specialty items, and quality liquor always sells well. Keep up the good work people! Check in with Bridget if you have any questions. bnason@levander.com
We will be hosting a New Member Orientation THIS Wednesday, August 27 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Rayna's house and everyone - all 50 of us - are invited to attend. Appetizers will be served. You will learn about the uniqueness about our Club (we're a little bit of a rebel club, in case you hadn't noticed). You will find out about our fundraisers, service projects and most importantly - we will get to know each other better. Everyone is invited whether you are new or not as new! It's a great social time with a little bit of Rotary thrown into it.
We had a Board meeting last Tuesday and here is what we did:
Donation request for the Boy Scouts was continued for more information
New Member Orientation agenda: We will be hearing from the chairs of each avenue of service so you can find out what everyone does and how you can get more involved. More importantly, we will be getting to know each other better.
Bridget reported that the Moonstruck details are coming together nicely
