For those of you who may not know, there is a reason we ask you to sign the attendance sheet at the meetings every week. The District likes to keep attendance records, for statistical purposes only. We DO like to see your shining, smiling faces too, but don't sweat it if you have other commitments, the dog gets sick, or you just want to get your beauty rest on a beach in Florida. It happens. However, you can also get attendance credit in the following ways:
- Attending community service activities
- Attending Board meetings
- Attending Club-sponsored events
- Attending District conferences or other Rotary-related events
- Attending someone else's Rotary Club meeting, whether it is in a neighboring community or foreign country (Alan is the King of visiting foreign clubs)
As I said, WE as a rebel Club, do not get that worked up about you missing meetings, although for most of you, we enjoy your company and we like to see you at the meetings. But, to keep the District happy and our attendance rates looking good, be sure to attend as many "Rotary" things as you can.
