Adopt a Family Gift Wrapping

THIS WEEK'S MEETING: Dec. 7 - Instead of a speaker, this week we will be wrapping presents for our Adopted Families! Bring wrapping paper, gift boxes, scissors, tape and gift tags to the meeting. Shoppers will bring the purchased presents for the families and we will make them look pretty! If you have giant boxes that we can use to put the presents in for transportation, that would be really helpful. If you're all thumbs when it comes to wrapping, don't worry about it - you can supervise!

Board Meeting Tomorrow, Dec. 6

We have a Board meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 7:30 a.m. at Southview and here's what's cooking on the agenda:

We will consider a donation request from 360 Communities for $3,000 for their Partners for Success program, which places family support workers in all the schools in District 197
We will consider a donation request from Legal Assistance of Dakota County for $1,500, to help with the general operations of providing free legal services to low income residents in Dakota County
We will seek a delegation of Board members and members to attend the Rotary Mid-Term District Rally on Jan. 14 at Hamline University

Anyone is welcome to attend!

Speakers Anyone? Please check the Speaker Assignment list on the link located to the left and see when you are on the hook for getting speakers for our regular meetings. Don't worry, you're partnered with a group (i.e. January has a number of Daves and a Jon) so work with your group to find a speaker for each week, then, let the Editor know (that's me) the date, the speaker name, topic and whether or not there are any technology needs. Hint: if you have March, we typically host a State of the City Address this month for WSP's Mayor and maybe this year we can grab MH too, since they have a new Mayor. You can work with the City Administration to make the arrangements. See the editor (me again) for more information on how to make this happen.
