Dr. Johnson, District 197 will miss you dearly. Your inspiration and dedication were appreciated and "leaving some big shoes to fill".

Dr. Johnson is retiring but not without leaving his mark-growing this fine district from 1350 students to 1750 over the past 3 years. If you did not know this "Two Rivers High School is the best school in the county".

Check out the test scores, graduation rates-you will see.

Who will be taking over? DR. JESSE CABAK-our children and this schools future is looking very bright! Thank you all for coming in and thank you Peter Olson-Skog for all you do for our communities, schools and Rotary. 315 Meals Packed

Last Thursday, we packed 315 meals. First time I can remember that we ran out of food. Thanks to the helpers!

Super Easy Fundraising Event - Prior Lake Music Fest.

Put July 11th or 12th on your calendars. We have a chance to make quick club monies by working 4 hour shifts on the 11th or 12th. Plus, whoever works can get into the other night free! Minnesota DVS to issue Rotary plates

DVS will roll out new plates in honor of the Rotary Club in the next few weeks. It will be the only new plated to be offered this year!

April 2025 Board Meeting Highlights

Here are some highlights from our March 18, 2025 Board meeting:

1 - $5000 available for donations.

2 - Robert Hanson with ALMAS at Two Rivers HS was very appreciative of the extra money we had for him this year.

3 - Next Loaves & Fishes are April 29th at St. Matt's. (3:30 to 6:30)

4 - Spring yard clean April 26 8:30

5 - July 2nd meeting moved to a social at the Copperfield.

6 - Prior Lake Music Fest fundraiser still open for registration.

7 - Our Rotary District is asking for facts on volunteer hours and donations.

8 - President Elect Jennifer Giovinazzo is attending district training for president.

9 - Next board meeting is via zoom on June 17 at 7:30a.m.

Fundraising Committee needs ideas!

Prez Val Namen and David Miller are heading up our club's Fundraising Committee. Please let them know if you have any fundraising ideas and/or would like to join their committee!

Something new to meetings

The board would like to have local businesses present a 3 minute introduction to their company at each meeting.

Please let Dave Hanson know if you have someone and he'll add them to the meeting schedule.

One 3 minute presentation at each meeting would be the goal.

We meet at 7:30 Wednesday mornings at Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church located at 2035 Charlton Road, Sunfish Lake, MN 55118. Join us for a continental breakfast with good coffee followed by an engaging program. On even number months, we meet at 7:30a at the Copperfield restaurant in Mendota Heights. (e.g. first Wed in Aug)
