We had a Board meeting last week - boy oh boy did you miss a good one! Here are the exciting details:
We approved giving $1,000 to RI for Polio Plus.
We approved donating two $2,000 scholarships for Henry Sibley High School Seniors.
We approved the resignation of Jason Stone
Kori and Susan attended the One Rotary Summit district meetings about Public Image and Foundation (way to go team!)
Colleen reminded us all that we need to invite people to attend our virtual meetings - we do have really good speakers at our weekly meetings - you have to show people just how cool we are!
Here are some exciting things that are coming up in Nov. & Dec.:
Harvest Pack Event, Nov. 28 - that's the Sat. after Thanksgiving - IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Because emergency food service like Harvest Pack is considered essential, it is still able to perform these important food packing events even under the Governor's latest order!!
Adopt A Family: Our shoppers are out shopping BUT they will have to wrap the presents themselves and deliver them to Dave and/or Neighbors Inc. (sigh) No wrapping party this year.
Loaves and Fishes on Dec. 3 and again on Dec. 29. For real.
White Elephant Gift Exchange on Dec. 16: Details are still being planned but we hope to be able to "exchange" gifts at a mutually agreed location and then open them virtually at our regular weekly meeting on ZOOM. You can't trade, but you can laugh at the reactions! Stay tuned!!
