Many of you know that two of the dearest supporters of our Club are Sue Albrecht and Nancy Desmond, shown here at Loaves & Fishes with Colleen and Johanna:

Because of their busy "retirement" schedule, they have never officially joined our Club as members, but Sue and Nancy have been helping us at Loaves & Fishes for years.  They also annually donate to Moonstruck by sponsoring a hole, sometimes in the names of their pets, in order to keep their anonymity. To thank them for their continued effort and support of our Club, we made them (collectively) an honorary Paul Harris Fellow, one of the highest awards you can receive as a Rotarian.  They are also Colleen & Mary's best friends.

 

Nancy was recently diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing aggressive chemo.  There are no other treatments available for her at this time and the prognosis is not optimistic. But we all know that two things are certain:

 

1. Love, prayers and support are always welcomed

2. God can work miracles

THIS WEEK'S MEETING: Dec. 9 - Instead of a speaker, this week we will be wrapping presents for our Adopted Families!  Bring wrapping paper, scissors, tape and gift tags to the meeting.  Shoppers will bring the purchased presents for the families and we will make them look pretty!  If you have giant boxes that we can use to put the presents in for transportation, that would be really helpful.  If you're all thumbs when it comes to wrapping, don't worry about it - you can supervise! Here is a picture from last year.  Not sure which one is supervising...

 

 

We have a Board meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, January 19 at 7:30 a.m. at Southview. Let President Scott know if you have any items for the agenda.
