It's hard to believe that we are already into the middle of Summer and battling the July heat.  Erin has just completed her term as President she is so appreciated for her dedication and hard work she has given this club.  If you have been attending meetings, you will know that we have had some amazing speakers and will continue to book great speaker so please make it a priority to attend weekly meetings.
Our ninth annual Rocklin Brewfest was a huge success with great weather, awesome brewers and of coarse the wonderful people that attend that make it a great event.  Save the date of June 2, 2018 as Tony Owings is leading the charge to make our 10th annual Rocklin Brewfest better than ever.   We have grown this event to become a must attend attraction for our area and we hope to have over 50 breweries and over 2,000 attendee at our event.  The money raise at this event funds all of the giving programs in our community, our region and even international projects.

Happy New Year!
We are excited to start the new year at the South Placer Rotary Club. President Erin has kept us on our toes so far for the first half of her term. In 2016 we took a bus load of third graders fishing in the spring. Then again in the fall, we took another bus load of eight graders for an educational experience at the Sacramento Aerospace Museum. We helped lay stones in the new Rocklin orchards on Front Street. We installed smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in 75 homes in one or our local senior mobile home parks along side the American Red Cross. To end the year, we packed and delivered Christmas bags to the children and families of a couple dozen Rocklin residents. We also provided scholarships to Whitney and Victory High School seniors and sponsored Interact Clubs at both schools. In order for us to properly serve the community, we need a to raise money. Once again the South Placer community came out and supported another very successful Rocklin Brewfest in June. We hope you can join us for Rocklin Brewfest 2017 on June 3rd. We are not all about work, we also like to have fun. Thank you to Randy and Veronica Green for hosting our annual summer social around his pool. Thank you also to Jeff and Janice Brower for opening their home for our 2016 Christmas celebration. Robb Angel and Scott Hutton also did a fantastic job arranging our monthly socials and our annual Placer Trails wine trip. We look forward to seeing what is in store for our club and community in the coming year!
