Christmas Gift Bags

Our annual project is here in full swing, where we put together gift bags for families in need. We partner with the Rocklin Unified School District to spread holiday cheer and support those facing financial challenges during the holidays by providing gifts for children, warm clothing, and essential supplies to numerous families in need.

This year, we are working with Antelope Creek Elementary School and will be helping 16/17 families with a total of 50 children. All family members are provided for. The parents or guardians will be gifted $100 Walmart gift cards to help provide a family meal or use as needed. All dependents, including adult children still living in the household, are provided with a nice jacket, a pair of pants, a shirt/blouse, and a few pairs of warm socks. We worked with Toys for Tots to give the kids at least two toys each. Some of the older teenagers, where Toys for Tots does not offer as many options, will be given a small gift card to Walmart to get themselves something.
Members of the club will put together the gift bags for the families this Tuesday, 12/17. Those who help with the packaging will also take the families' bags to the Rotary meeting this Wednesday, 12/18, and ask for volunteers to contact the parents or guardians to set up a time for delivery. This is a great opportunity to get into the spirit of giving.
