We partner with the Rocklin Unified S chool District to spread holiday cheer and support those facing financial challenges during the holidays by providing gifts for children\, warm clot hing\, and essential supplies to numerous families in need. This year\, we are working with Antelope Creek Elementary School and will be helping 16/ 17 families with a total of 50 children. All family members are provided f or. The parents or guardians will be gifted $100 Walmart gift cards to hel p provide a family meal or use as needed. All dependents\, including adult children still living in the household\, are provided with a nice jacket\ , a pair of pants\, a shirt/blouse\, and a few pairs of warm socks. We wo rked with Toys for Tots to give the kids at least two toys each. Some of t he older teenagers\, where Toys for Tots does not offer as many options\, will be given a small gift card to Walmart to get themselves something. Me mbers of the club will put together the gift bags for the families this Tu esday\, 12/17. Those who help with the packaging will also take the famili es' bags to the Rotary meeting this Wednesday\, 12/18\, and ask for volunt eers to contact the parents or guardians to set up a time for delivery. T his is a great opportunity to get into the spirit of giving.
