Greetings from the Helm
I have had the pleasure at different times to be involved with various sailing adventures with positions from skipper to deck hand.
One of my most enjoyable was aboard the training vessel the Adventuress in the San Juan Islands . This beautiful ship takes a crew of 12 or more to keep her steady and off the rocks . What is common to any ship with a goal is that each crew member has a task and every task is critical to the success to the whole. There can be no passengers simply along for the ride.
So my question to all that have chosen to be members of a service club is: are you sitting back as a passenger enjoying the cruise, are you content to let others do the heavy lifting? There are tasks big and small and ample room for all, so get on deck and lend a hand.

Inspirational Moment
"No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite."
- Nelson Mandela

“Great meeting. Noticed some repeat content but they were worth repeating.  Bono's TED talk was inspiring and after watching the Rotary Minute just prior makes one proud to a Rotarian who is helping reach the target of zero extreme poverty by 2030.”
Gord Lewis R E-club Canada One

“-I enjoyed the Paul Harris Vignette that was historically enlightening and very well done.”
Harold Witte, RC Edmonto Mayfield, D5370

“Liked the Inspiration Moment and certainly enjoyed hearing KD Lang. Also liked the Paul Harris, part 2 and would like to hear part 1. I will check back for 3 and 4”
Jim Davis, RC Calgary Heritage Park – D5360
