Greeter this week: Frank Yakimchuk

Tammy and I make it a policy that we will look for those opportunities to visit other Rotary Clubs, this is a photo taken during our visit to the Rotary Club of Red Deer, Alberta. I remember that this was a newly minted Club President who had been to the "Rotary International Convention" in Seoul, Korea during the summer of 2016.
Tammy and I are already registered to attend the RI Convention in Toronto next June, 2018. We took advantage of early registration to keep our cost down, we intend to use our "Aeroplan Points" to get from our home base in Red Deer, Alberta to the "Big Smoke" which also happens to be my birth place.
I encourage those that are able to get to a RI Convention to do so. Be prepared to deal with thousands of Rotarians, many diverse cultures, colourfully dressed groups and outstanding presenters. This is our third RI Convention but the first for us in our home country, Canada.

Comments from our Guests and Members
Members and guest attending our weekly meetings are very important to us. Based on your comments we are able to produce many more educational, inspiring and entertaining weekly meetings.
Following are some of the comments we have received. Would you send us your comments please?

E-Club of East Anglia in the UK had hosted RI Vice President Dear Rohrs at their weekly Zoom meeting. Another example of how e-clubs can host people that you otherwise would only hear at District or Zone Conferences.
Peter Denooy, Rotary E-Club of Canada One, D-5370

Well Peter, the topic of prime numbers would not have been on my list of selected topic for a Rotary meeting. I had to listen to it again to get to the point. I tried but could not get the relationship between the Higgs boson and prime numbers or getting sexual arousal from finding out. I got Descartes "I think therefore I am".
