Greeter this week: Danielle Bork
Many people believe that being in an E-Club can isolate them from Rotary Fellowship.  Here at our e-club, I feel very fortunate not only to have the opportunity to join in fellowship with E-club Rotarians, but also quite lucky to participate in local fellowship opportunities on the ground in District 6330.  Being a Rotarian in one district and living in another is a great opportunity to meet so many Rotarians and work with them on their projects and the E-Club's.  I have been able to participate in many fund raisers with local Rotary clubs, host a Rotary Youth Exchange student from South Korea and participate in Rotary Training Seminars.  I'm also able to promote fundraising initiatives for the Subirana Water Project that our E-club is currently working on.  This project will help bring clean water to a remote community in Honduras and help change the lives of so many people in need.   Rotary unites people across borders, languages and cultures proving that we are not bound by geography, only the limits of our creativity.

Comments from our Guests and Members
Members and guest attending our weekly meetings are very important to us. Based on your comments we are able to produce many more educational, inspiring and entertaining weekly meetings.
Following are some of the comments we have received. Would you send us your comments please?

I am very impressed with the work that you do as an e-club - just noting what has been done in the 2015-16 year.  I also like the idea of e-pods.
Dr. Watkins' Ted talk was very interesting.
A thumbs up for the Rotary Moments. I shared this week's on my FB page.

Sharon Blaker, RC of Chilliwack, D-5050

Dr. Watkins was thoroughly entertaining throughout his presentation.  I understand more about how breathing rhythmically enhances my thinking, and how concentrating on positive feelings can make me a happier and more productive person.  Thanks for finding this video to share.
Fred Nesbitt, RC of Albion, NY, D-7090

I loved the video of the fellow building small houses (on wheels) for the homeless out of discarded materials. It speaks of so many things we can do better, and the hope we can bring. It also showed the power of an individual engaging with others (in this case the homeless).
Scott Wisdahl, RC of Fort St. John, D-5370

This article highlighted one of the many good deeds that Rotary does.  Students in Bear Lake (Minnesota) who don't even have enough money for lunches and school supplies were given these necessities.  $500 worth of school supplies, and water bottle were handed out as well as inspirational messages to pass on.
Kara Hoffsuemmer, RC of Barrie, D-7010

Celebrating 100 years of Doing Good
In 2016-17, our Rotary Foundation turns 100. That's a century of Rotary members changing lives and improving communities all over the world. And that's definitely something worth celebrating.
Through our Foundation, Rotary members have supported thousands of projects to provide clean water, fight disease, promote peace, provide basic education, and grow local economies. We've also been a leader in the fight to eradicate polio worldwide.
The centennial is the perfect time to share this impressive record with the world. Join us in making sure that every Rotary member and people in every community know about the vital work of Rotary and its Foundation.
