Greeter this week: Jim Ferguson

Recently, my wife, Jocelyne, and I moved to Skeleton Lake, Alberta and started construction of our "dream home"
It's been a long grind, with selling our house of 24 years in Spruce Grove, and moving to a rural area. Many days of packing, moving, and now building have ensued with many setbacks, but good progress has been made and the house is finally nearing completion.

In many ways, our young EClub, with its weekly online meeting is similar to house construction.
Lots of hard work by many people, but especially our founder, Charter President Elly Contreras, who has devoted years of work to ensure a quality online Rotary meeting. The weekly meeting is still evolving, and will continue to improve with input from our EClub members, but Elly has built a solid foundation for our EClub, and for that we are eternally grateful.
Enjoy this weeks meeting!

James (Jim) Ferguson
President Elect
Rotary EClub of Canada One

Inspirational Moment
The problem with winter sports is that - follow me closely here - they generally take place in winter.

“I thought the welcoming Rotarian Delwen Stander's welcome message is one of the best I've read.  The inspirational video brought tears to my eyes and the valentine's video was very informative.”
Phyllip Pressey, RC London South - D6330

“Just a big thank you for offering such a great site and club! Since Christmas I have not been able to attend my own Terra-club due to an illness and while I am desperate to get back having Canada-One available is always fantastic. The programming is always insetting but I most enjoy learning a little more about what the "West" and "North" that Canda-One gets involved in.”
Phillip Laitar RC Woodstock - D6330

“Living in a smaller community without the population to support an Interact Club, it was fascinating to see and hear about how it works.  Thank you for posting it!  The Rotary Minute is also becoming a quick favourite of mine. I think even those times where I don't need to do a make-up I'll stop by to read this component.More about Rotary programs and how Rotary works.I have been a member for a few years now and I still feel like I don't know much.”
Laurie Prange-Martin, RC Whitehorse - D5010

“I wanted to experience an international eclub.  Was very impressed with your website.  The homeless man playing the piano and the story of the young man who started the Free the Children organizations was inspiring. Living in a smaller community without the population to support an Interact Club, it was fascinating to see and hear about how it works.  Thank you for posting it!  The Rotary Minute is also becoming a quick favourite of mine. I think even those times when I don't need to do a make-up I'll stop by to read this component.”
Stephanie Acri, RC Colonial Park  - D7390
