Greeter this week: Archie and Anne Skirving
For ten days, Anne and I enjoyed the romance of the French Capital.  Staying at a thirty-three room, family owned and operated Hotel, we were within one block from the Blvd Ste. Germaine,  the longest street on the Left Bank and  about two blocks from the Jardin de Luxembourg.
A French word new to us was “flaneur/flaneuse”   - roughly meaning to meander; and meander we did. No one who may read this needs a travelogue of Paris.
What we can enjoy however, is “flaneur/flaneuse”.  With smart phones in our hands, with tablets ready,  there are times when we are too connected to simply meander.
Springtime in Paris  - most places in springtime  - have so much beauty in Creation  - a beauty that can be overlooked by simply being busy.
Wherever you may be  - meander a bit. Pick a lily of the valley,  enjoy the fragrance of lilac blooms,  gaze in wonder as a robin builds its nest near your home.
So  “flaneur/flaneuse” and meander a bit  -  relax and savour the world in which you live.

A Little Humor
Paraprosdokians are figures of speech in which the latter part of a sentence or phrase is surprising or unexpected; frequently humorous (Winston Churchill loved them).
1. Where there's a will, I want to be in it.
2. The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But it's still on my list.
3. Since light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
4. If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.
5. We never really grow up, we only learn how to act in public.
6. War does not determine who is right - only who is left.
7. Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
8. They begin the evening news with 'Good Evening,' then proceed to tell you why it isn't.
9. To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism. To steal from many is research.
10. Buses stop in bus stations. Trains stop in train stations. On my desk is a work station.

Food for Thought
If you cannot help worrying, remember that worrying cannot help you.
Perpetual worry will get you to one place ahead of time – the cemetery.

Important notice to MEMBERS of Canada One:

Phase 2 of the urgent and important material we will be dealing with in the first month of this new Rotary year will cover the very important issue of CLASSIFICATIONS in Rotary Clubs. This is an integral part of being a member of Rotary and within one week of the detail appearing in the next Club Bulletin, we need to have settled this matter for our new Club. Please make sure that you review this when the new Bulletin comes out and give it your consideration. Meanwhile don't forget to update with your Clubrunner profiles....the clock ticketh!
