Many new initiatives are featured this month as our e-club continues to organize and prepares to do "good work in the world". We will Engage Rotary, and Change Lives! This month:
- our Service Projects Committee under the leadership of Jim Ferguson will continue to refine the projects our e-club will support. Remember you have a say. Contact information is on our website 24/7.
- This is membership month! Membership Chair Doug Dyer has prepared a contest just for our e-club. Get your Rotary on!
- Sergeant-At-Arms Chris Langley is serious about the need for our e-club members to complete our membership requirements. In this weeks eBulletin you can read and listen to what he says and he names names! Come on members! Complying with these standards is a key to our success and not at all onerous.

20 points to do a presentation at a Toastmasters, The Chamber, BNI or other community clubs.
10 points to do a make up at a terra club and introduce the e-club (without poaching ofcourse)
10 points to send out a e:mail inviting atleast 5 people to check out the club
10 points for having lunch/coffee with a former Rotarian

At request from our members the board has agreed to hold a monthly on-line Fellowship Session/Assembly every 3rd Monday of the month.

The objective of these Assemblies is to enhance fellowship opportunities and increase club dialogue and engagement.
* The first assembly will be August 19, 2013 at 6:00 pm MDT via GoToMeeting
* The agenda for the meeting is to be kept open and cordial.
* A speaker would be present to speak live to the club: including classification talks.
* Participation qualifies for attendance requirements

We have a number of Club Banners available for our members to exchange. Please contact Secretary Anne if your wish to receive a number of banners for you region.
In order to keep shipping cost at a minimum, we suggest that one person in each region requests a number of banners for distribution to their fellow club members.

The New York Times has published a major front-page story about the polio eradication effort in Pakistan, one of three remaining polio-endemic countries. The article highlights Rotary’s leadership role, focusing on the contributions of Pakistani Rotarians, led by National PolioPlus Committee Chair Aziz Memon. Rotarians are portrayed as dedicated and courageous front-line volunteers, despite sometimes facing personal risks. The story also mentions International PolioPlus Committee Chair Robert Scott’s trip to Pakistan in March.
