RAGM Microfinance to eliminate poverty: February 17 - 22, 2014

Greetings to our members and guests of this week's meeting of the Rotary E-Club of Canada One.
The first anniversary of our club, February 23, is fast approaching and plans are being made to celebrate the occasion. It has been a very interesting year being part of the birth of a new club. It has been fun getting to know our members from different parts of Canada and hearing of their Rotary experiences. As the club treasurer I have also found it interesting reading where our visiting Rotarians call home. We have many who belong to clubs in Canada, from New Brunswick to Vancouver Island, though it has to be left to the imagination as to where in the World they, like our own members, may actually be when they will be when they visit our website to “attend” a club meeting.
Besides a number of visitors from the U.S.A. we have also had visitors from Sweden, Switzerland and many other countries. Judging by the comments from guests and visitors they are finding our E-club interesting and informative.
Now sit back and enjoy this week’s meeting

"I really enjoyed....Paul Harris Remembers 100 years ago.
The Hackschooling presentation was phenomenol. Kids don't think about what they want to be when they grow up..they think in the moment and their thoughts are...I want to be Happy! The speaker spoke about Education geared to making a living rather than making a life. Hackers are innovators. They challenge and change the system. I found this presentation sooooooo refreshing.”

“Really loved this meeting: From the greeter opening remarks to the video "Worth dying for..." to the talk by Logan LaPlante that was very much a topic of discussion at lunch with geeks and scientists today. Great and a meeting I will attend again and share.”
