Rotary E-Club of Canada One through its member's involvement offers a way to leave a Peace Legacy through our youth.
Youth concerns globally include access to safety to live, study or work. Youth are frustrated by inaction of those older or seen as more able to make change happen. Rotary E-Club of Canada One has offered its members and donors opportunities to reach out to youth. Our diverse membership located in 5 countries shares this concern for including youth in global solutions.
A PEACE Project involving tree planting by 85 youth volunteers in El Salvador has resulted in micro business planning and job creation in a remote agricultural community overcoming lack of job skills and training.
A WATER project in Honduras involving access to water, water purification and Education on Water Sanitation and hygiene for Community of 2500 involved youth in Honduras.
The Imagination Library Program providing books monthly to preschool children in the Arctic resulted in parents are asking Rotary to begin these programs in new communities where they moved. The little ones Dream More, Learn More, Care More and Become more confident and curious little people. Arctic teachers report saving 3 months of school orientation time with children introduced preschool to Imagination Library books. Instead of fear, they are ready and eager to learn.

Rotary volunteers and donors facilitate the youth participation and inclusion, in overcoming obstacles faced by these communities.
Rotary E-Club of Canada One provides through our members a student scholarship through Project Amigo in Mexico, a recycling education and program for youth in Guatemala, Education in bullying prevention in British Columbia and Alberta, facilitates a youth parent school program in India, and in Panama provided child educational materials and in the Dominican Republic programs for the disabled and seniors. Our members and donors are Making a Difference!
As Club President this year, I am particularly moved to see Rotary International high school age youth attend Rotary Youth Leadership Training. The enthusiasm, growth in self-esteem, team building and hope built by this youth training is life changing!
Enjoy this week's meeting!

Snowbirds
Officially known as the Canadian Forces 431 Air Demonstration Squadron (French: 431e escadron de démonstration aérienne), the Snowbirds are Canada's military aerobatics or air show flight demonstration team whose purpose is to "demonstrate the skill, professionalism, and teamwork of Canadian Forces personnel".[2] The squadron is based at 15 Wing, near Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. The Snowbirds are the first Canadian air demonstration team to be designated as a squadron.[3]

Powerful speech by an amazing woman. I could feel her emotions in this presentation and loved the story about her teacher giving her a journal to write her truth.
Christine Vachon, RC of Westlock, Alberta, D-5370

Verrry complex subject and made tremendous sense Very cool.
Mike O'Connor, RC of Grande Prarie (Swan City), Alberta, D-5370

Another moving story of a person having the strength and courage to overcome polio. Hopefully these stories will one day come to an end and no one will suffer this disease.
Robert Boyden, RC of Canmore, Alberta, D-5360

Yes, our 100 plus year olds have lots of wisdom to share, as did my mother at 102 and half years. What a blessing to learn from these folks and spend time with them. So very much respect and gratitude they show for all in life. We are also so grateful for clean water for Subirana, Honduras, community this club made available to over 2500 people along with Water Missions technical help. Families thank us for wash education as well.
