It was quite a sight at the Bangkok airport as we arrived Friday night!
Rotarians and their family arrived from all over the world. Many had traveled for more than 32 hours to attend the 103rd Rotary International Convention.
Large banners were displayed in the airport halls and outside the buildings, welcoming the well over 30,000 registrants. It wasn'’t difficult to identify the Rotarians, The Rotary emblem was seen, on clothing, head wear and luggage.
As we waited in line for passport control, complete strangers engaged in conversation with us, starting with: "“were are you from" or "are you here for the Rotary Convention?"
This, our ninth Convention we will once again meet long time friends and make new friends. It is one of the reasons we attend the convention. We also come for the opportunity to experience a different culture, taste the food and learn about the many success of Rotary Clubs worldwide and listen to the messages which inspire us to continue our work.

RI President, Kalyan Banerjee, officially opened the House of Friendship exhibition Saturday morning. See all the Convention News Here
