Being a Developer and Contractor in Alberta, Canada,  I live in an area of the world that has one of the strongest and busiest economies.
The unemployment rate is low, and job sites are busy.
But Alberta is only one small area of the world.
My wife and I have traveled to many countries that are struggling with basic needs, that we in Canada take for granted.
Lack of safe drinking water, schools that are in desperate need of repair, supplies or even teachers, the list is seemingly endless.
But everywhere we've traveled, we've noticed that Rotary always has a presence.
While in a remote area of Kenya, we noticed that Rotary had even supplied bus shelters so that people could rest and get some respite from the hot sun.
Rotarians are doing projects that help out millions of people, and that's why I support your organization.
Keep up the great work!

This was amazing.  I especially likes his idea of square inch gardening.... harvesting over 6000 lbs/yr.  I just finished taking the "Master Gardener" classes through the University of Illinois so this was very interesting!!

Happy and surprised to see my district's Rotaractor World Polio Day video featured. They are a wonderful group of future Rotarians. Very well done meeting. The video on urban homesteads is a great inspiration for a gardener like me.
Martha Weaver, Rotary E-Club Premier, D-7040

Found the Home Revolution video very informative!
Tara Gill, Petaling Jaya, D-3300

I truly enjoyed the gratitude video and have bookmarked it to view more, as I watched two of them! The link to the reindeer article was very interesting.

If I Die First...
Now that they are retired, my mother and father were discussing all aspects of their future. "What will you do if I die before you do?" Dad asked Mom.
After some thought, Mom said that she'd probably look for a house-sharing situation with three other single or widowed women who might be a little younger than herself, since she is so active for her age.
Then Mom asked Dad, "What will you do if I die first?"
He replied, "Probably the same thing."
