Welcome Members and Guests to our Special Anniversary Meeting
Picture: President Bruce Kleeberger and his Rotary ball cap visiting the Grand Canyon, AZ: October 2013
It is an honour to represent the Board of the Rotary E-Club of Canada One at this, our first Charter Anniversary Celebration. If you listen to the presentations during our meeting from no less than the most influential and gracious leaders in Rotary, you will find they are following the success of this form of Rotary and our e-club in particular, very closely; And with good reason.
One of our first presentations entitled "Rotary isn't just old white guys anymore" signified some of the changes Rotary is experiencing. These changes, including becoming available to a more varied constituency through electronic communication, are critical if Rotary is to continue to be the pre-eminent service organization in the world. In Canada, our E-Club is the only club without boundaries. Join us. Celebrate Rotary success.

Inspirational Moment
A Birthday message for all members of the Rotary E-club of Canada One

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
when the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
when funds are low and the debts are high,
and you want to smile but you have to sigh,
when care is pressing you down a bit,
rest if you must but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
as every one of us sometimes learns,
and many a failure turns about.
When you might have won had you stuck it out,
don't give up.

Although at times the pace seems slow,
you may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out
the silver tint of the clouds of doubt.

And you never can tell how close you are
it may be near when it seems so far.

So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit.
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Congratulations to the Rotarians of the Rotary e-club of Canada One. During this past year you have supported The Rotary Foundation and in particular the END POLIO NOW MAKE HISTORY campaign to enable Rotary along with our partners to finally eradicate polio, that evil disease that attacks children crippling them for life.
