We had a full house on Tuesday. Beside many members we had around eight guests.
Pictured is sponsor Courtney Pino with new Rotarian Shelly Dunbar.  Also at this table is
guest Jodi Jung.  Jodi is the Director of Sales & Marketing at Business Travel & Tours. Knowing
what a great organization Rotary represents, Shelly is getting a feel for all our Clubs.

It was great to see member John Milliken. John is celebrating 43 years in Rotary.  We enjoyed the bell ringing stories
and shameless plugs.  Past President Jim Annis, Larie Trippet and myself gave the members tips on membership.  Jim gave us an example of a good elevator speech. What's Rotary? The "better answer" We're a leadership organization of local
business, professional and civic leaders.  We meet regularly, get to know each other, form friendships, and
through that, we're able to get things done in this community.  There will be more wisdom to come.

Our percational talk was given by Past President Mark Schauss. His family history and employment that led him to Reno
and his career is fascinating.

Speaker for the evening was Carl Hasty from the Tahoe Transportation District.  His main topic on extending the bike and
walking trails around Lake Tahoe was of great interest to to us.  This project will take several years to complete. Along with the trails there is a plan to build a highway around the casino area to help keep the traffic flowing. Round-abouts will be added instead of signals.

I thought for sure it was the red marble. It looks like Elijah was just as happy with a free dinner.
