Welcome To Our Newest Rotarians:
On May 19, 2017 we welcomed 6 new Rotarians to Sierra Passport Rotary. By the smiles on their faces, they made the right choice.
On June 1, 2016 Auburn Daybreak Rotary took the leap of faith with the guidance of Michael Reinero of Rotary District 5180 who was the creator of the Passport model and the first Charter President of such a club. With 8 members of Auburn Daybreak Rotary standing side by side the challenge was on. The results couldn't make us prouder as we just announced we are at 30 MEMBERS!! The need was there for many community leaders to join a service club that worked with their busy schedules. They wanted to be a part of Rotary and now they can be. Without disrupting work commitments, time with family and many other obligations, all 30 members now share their passion with the world of living a life of Service Above Self. The Passport model thinks outside the box and finds ways to allow members to give back to their community and internationally. We still partake in many fellowship activities, go to other regular clubs meetings, work with other clubs to do 40 hours of service a year, attend all the Rotary District 5190 training sessions and have quarterly meetings. We see each other as family and many of us don't know how we could make it through the day without each other. Diversity in vocations is one of our greatest joys. From financial growth advisors, a travel agent, car wash owner, technology pioneer, automotive repair, insurance agent, lawyer, Boys & Girls Club leader and so many more and now we have a photo booth expert. Come check us out and see what the buzz is all about.
April 29, 2017 is the day all Rotarians provide valuable service to their communities. It maybe a garden, improving the fair grounds or parks, helping a senior do outside work at home, just about anything that each club feels their is a need for. As a Passport club, we offer other clubs our members helping hands. There are 3 other Rotary Clubs in Auburn, CA that are asking for your helping hands. Auburn Rotary Club, Auburn Sunset Rotary Club and Auburn Gold Country Rotary Club. Please email President Elect Garrett Konrad for a list and sign up.
