Patti is the Executive Director of CARE Chest of Sierra Nevada.

Born in Billings Montana, Patti moved here shortly afterwards when her dad was transferred with YMCA as the Athletic Director. She attended Echo Loder, Vaughn, Wooster, UNR and both Carson & Truckee Meadows Community Colleges. Her career is diverse, from bookkeeping, insurance & media sales, restaurants to nonprofit industry with a national organization.  She was hired at CARE Chest in 1992 & have seen an incredible community supported effort grow from helping 334 that year with medical equipment to more than 8,000 annually served by 6 different programs.  What an amazing adventure all around!

Her family is here mostly and in May she became a Grandma, which is exciting! Hobbies include golf, outside festivals; music, food & other and Rotary functions. Patti am a 21 year Sparks Rotary member & has visited our club  many times over the years. Our own Harry Parsons has been involved with CARE Chest from the beginning as well.

CARE Chest is a Northern Nevada nonprofit agency serving individuals in need by providing medical resources, free of charge.

Their programs include -

  • Medical Nutrition
  • Independent Living and CARE Loan
  • Wellness Education
For more than 25 years, CARE Chest has been re-using durable medical equipment, putting our community's resources into action. They have provided over 127,000 individual services in Northern Nevada and been a reliable resource for individuals who find themselves facing medical poverty.
