Our speaker today will be talking about: "Growing healthy minds and bodies: an introduction to Urban Roots".
Urban Roots works in pre K-12 schools and operates two teaching farms, Urban Roots is sowing the seeds for academic achievement, healthy eating, and environmental stewardship all through the lens of gardening. Join us to learn more!

 

Fayth Ross is the Executive Director of a local non-profit, Urban Roots. She became acquainted with Urban Roots during her time at the Desert Research Institute and was one of the first mothers to enroll her children in Urban Roots' Farm Camps. Fayth has two decades of experience in marketing and technical communications, and is a seasoned instructor, having taught at university, private college, and community college levels. Fayth and her husband are entrenched in the chaos of having three children in three different schools and are on a 12-year plan for paying college tuition in the not-so-distant future. Fayth also serves as the Recorder for the Nevada Women's Fund Board of Directors and is the President-Elect of the Sierra Chapter of the Association for Fundraising Professionals.
