Washoe County is facing a crisis. Our schools are severely overcrowded and in critical need of repair. Children are packed into buildings that have asbestos, leaking roofs, and failing ventilation. A third of our schools have not been renovated in over a generation. One in five schools have more students than they can handle, forcing classes into hallways. The time to act is now — and the solution is half a cent away. We are a grassroots coalition of parents, teachers, business owners, and community leaders working to save our schools by advocating for passage of WC-1.
